Rock formations tumbled by God. I tuck my feet close to keep warm, coffee steaming as the sun slowly heats the sand. Dawn washes of colours, imprinting them in my mind. Happiness comes from the simplest things. I'm still as the birds swoop close for water.
The desert makes our faces tight my hands cracked. Stepping softly, tapping a stick avoiding tarantulas as they migrate to find their mates. The bright yellow splashes fall against the bluest sky, a Swedish flag. We drink cactus and our hearts rush with love. Corn and tobacco are tossed from the Mesa. Agua que va a caer. Laura's lone cloud comes closer as we sing.
